An exciting and magical ghostly tale perfect for
children 7 upwards
When her Aunt Daffodil was ill she told Mabel there would come a time when she would need to find the dragon's head and when she does she must not go alone. The code words were Spangle and the robin. Evil Aunt Gertrude arrives in Mabel's life and she realises that she is about to be sold and must escape. Mr Spangle finds Mabel and spangles her away to the safety of an old graveyard. Here Mabel befriends various ghosts who help her while she searches for her family and at the same time she has to keep out of the reaches of the horrible "snifter" who is sent to track her and bring her back to Gertrude. I hope you find it scary enough!

So for World Book Day 2018 for children in schools I was told that one young lady chose her favourite book as "Spangle" and went to school dressed up as our heroine Mabel. She even filled a spare rucksack with all the things that Mabel took on her journey! How good a recommendation is that!
